Corazón delator
Porque siempre fui fina pero también finita, llegó el momento de hacerme humo.
Hablar de la muerte en nuestra cultura es considerado un tabú o un gesto de mal gusto, yo –que de reprimida o pacata no tengo nada– hace dos años anuncié a voz en cuello que estaba más cerca del arpa que de la guitarra, para que juntos fuéramos preparando mi rito de pasaje final.
Mayakovski, Hemingway, Alberto Greco, Lugones, Quiroga, Storni, Pizarnik, Marilyn, Kurt Cobain... la lista de celebrities suicidas es extensa y variopinta. Yo decidí infringirme la muerte no para ubicarme vanidosamente en esa serie (lo que no quita que, al igual que a ellos, el tiempo me convierta en leyenda) ni para limpiar deshonras (cual los cultores del harakiri en el lejano oriente), sino como performance colectiva de puesta a prueba del deseo.
Prueba superada. O, mejor dicho, desbordada. Fue el deseo de todos ustedes el que dio un peso específico a este tiempo parentético, a este interregno de dos años, que tuvo lugar entre el anuncio y la concreción de mi despedida.
Los invité a extrañarme de a poquito y a paladear mis últimos números. Y en esta última entrega, me ofrendé generosamente para que llenen mis páginas a rienda suelta con mensajes sobre mi paso por este mundo o sobre el futuro del arte. Declaraciones de amor eterno, agradecimientos, recuerdos, confesiones, predicciones y alguna manifestación de despecho...
Eros y Tánatos de la mano: en mi cortejo fúnebre –pícaros– me siguen cortejando... ¡Y es comprensible!
Sin degeneración, cultivé con gracia todos los géneros: ensayos, poemas, entrevistas, informes, dossiers, polémicas, conversaciones, reseñas, editoriales, comentarios, testimonios, necrológicas, saludos en general, cartas de lectores, anuncios, fe de erratas, ficciones.
Sin perder mi eje, tuve sendos heterónimos (ramona, rosana, ratona, ramona-plebella, ramón... sin citar los de la intimidad) y mutaciones a mi antojo: crecí, adelgacé, me fusioné, me pinté, me travestí, viajé... con la naturalidad y la elegancia de quien pone el cuerpo sin reparos porque nunca le debí nada a nadie y porque entendí la transgresión como causa y como necesidad.
Y, después de diez años de sostener la palabra de los artistas como soporte de sentido válido y autónomo de la imagen en el campo de las artes visuales, pongo fin a mi proyecto artístico-editorial. De la obra al texto y del texto a la obra. En el momento en que me desmaterializo como práctica, me materializo como objeto: me transformo en corpus, mi voluptuoso cuerpo adquiere su forma final. Espero sepan amarme en mi nuevo estado, como supieron amarme hasta hoy.
Porque justamente eso quería decirles: el latido de este número me delata. Cadáver viviente, me voy pero no del todo... voy a estar espiándolos desde los anaqueles de sus bibliotecas y en mi versión digital para que mantengan viva la pasión de esta conversación, que es de todos, que es de ustedes...
